Design 3D Wire-Frame Gemstone Examination program, providing their stone rating personnel a computerized platform, using a Tablet PC, stylus and the Application.  The user opens a plot file, containing a wire frame view of the gem, cut in a particular style, in a window, and uses a stylus and a “toolbox” containing the defect and other symbols that are placed on the 3D plot of the stone.  The final plot generated by the user is printed to a Certificate of Quality for each stone.  The project required:

·          Wrote Application with Visual C++ .NET 2005 and wxWidgets, an open-source multi-platform GUI library supports Unix, Linux, Windows 98/ME/2k/XP/CE/Mobile, Palm OS, MAC.

·          Employed Infragistics Components Library.

·          Used OpenGL graphics library in plotting software.

·          Write SQL Server scripts and code to load stone shapes and data using OLAP.

·          Drivers and code to support Tablet PC Computing platform.

·          Design Gemstone plot files for use with system.

Design and implement data migration methods for migrating MBNA credit card data out of an MVS (IBM Mainframe) environment into an AIX (IBM Risc/6000) environment employing IBM DB2 UDB Enterprise Class Database Server in a multiple partition database/warehousing environment.  Designed and implemented various tables, stored procedures and more for IBM DB2.  Utilize korn shell and T-SQL scripting tools to accomplish goals. 

·          Wrote korn shell scripts to manage daily data migration tasks.

·          Wrote T-SQL stored procedures for IBM DB2 on AIX to automate table manipulation and data migration.
